Black Friday Bash Out

This week we have been inundated with ‘Black Friday’ deals etc.

But do you know where the term  comes from? I certainly didn’t associate it to getting good deals out there but just associated it to something similar to ‘Friday the 13th‘… Well I therefore why not do some research on it and this is what I found out on ‘Black Friday’:

  • Online sales
  • 19th century during the US gold market crash
  • Associated to awful events that happen on that day
  • Businesses recording their losses in red ink and gains in black
  • PR stunt penned in 1980s
  • Battle of George Square in Glasgow in 1919

All in all, enjoy saving some £££ if you can as it’s close to Christmas 😉
