Festival Place Case Study

The Client

Opened in October 2002 Festival Place is Hampshire's regional shopping destination, with 165 shops, 28 restaurants bars and cafes, a multi screen cinema, sports centre, night club and 3,000 secure parking spaces.

The Brief

During the development of the centre we were asked to provide a radio system to enable staff, and in the event of an emergency Hampshire Fire Brigade, to communicate throughout the 1.1 million square foot site.

The Solution

Following extensive site testing we installed several Motorola Repeater Base Stations which were coupled together through a comprehensive antenna network. There are several Motorola hand-portable radios being utilised throughout the site including CP040's GP340's and GP344's thereby allowing security, management facilities, car parking and the Fire Brigade to communicate efficiently and reliably across the site. One year later we were asked to provide a separate Motorola Repeater to allow the tenants of Festival Place and the surrounding Public Houses and Restaurants to be directly linked to the Control Room of the Community Repeater System.

We provide an ongoing service in maintaining this complex radio system.
