About Us

Business Communications was founded in 1983 and it is a supplier of telecoms systems and services to business customers in the United Kingdom. The company has over 36 years’ experience in Telecoms and our main office is situated in Kingston Upon Thames, Greater London.

Roma Arthur who at the time was a mother of two small children established Business Communications in July 1983.

The company was born during the time BT was privatised as it led to the UK telecoms market opening up. In other words, the privatisation allowed customers to buy telephone products which were previously only hired from BT.

Also at that time, Radio communications manufacturers were selling their products directly to the customer, however they soon came to appreciate that a dealer network would be more cost effective. So Roma reviewed the various radio products on the market at that time and she decided to go for Motorola who were regarded the best in terms of quality and service in the market (and still are).Consequently, Business Comms were delighted to be appointed as a Motorola dealer in 1988, and still are to this day.

New telephone products were also emerging in the market, mainly coming from Japan (Panasonic) and Germany (DeTeWe). Since Panasonic was the most popular brand, Business Communications opted to become their resellers.
